Evergreene is delighted to present works on paper by Zurich based Swiss artist Andreas Dobler.

Although deeply involved in and attracted by many cultural areas such as film, theatre and music, it is to the medium of painting that Andreas Dobler has adhered throughout his varied career. This show marks a return to the ink drawings on futuristic themes, which  had figured so strongly in Dobler`s youth. 

These large format, deep ink drawings represent the enormous influence of comic sci-fi on the teenage Dobler, as well as  pop music, electronic music, classical art and sculpture, and the psychedelic culture of the 60`s and 70’`s. Amassed and reassessed the result is of a fantasy world knitted together by trash elements, and a spiritual recognition of worlds as yet untouched by civilisation.
