Ibid usually reserves its Gallery Three space for exhibiting younger artists, many of which work out of their studios in the surrounding area in Los Angeles. One such artist is Timo Fahler, whose solo exhibition with Ibid presents new works that linger somewhere between sculpture and painting, each work picking up where the last left off. As if plucked from their environment, objects and materials are used and reused in different contexts with special care in maintaining their essence—a reference to themes of individual and collective identities.

Timo Fahler is co-founder of the neighboring artist-run exhibition project BBQLA, and youth-oriented art club MEATGRINDER.
